At the 2015 Festival, FKA Twigs asked fans to join her in the studio as she created and filmed one new dance piece a day – each inspired by a different story from her own life.

But it didn’t stop there. In their first ever Tumblr-based artwork, Twigs and MIF joined forces with The Space to give fans beyond the rehearsal room a chance to go behind the scenes, too.

Inside Soundtrack 7 lets you get inside the mind of one of the UK’s most exciting young artists as you explore an online scrapbook of the images, sounds and ideas that inspired the series.

Soundtrack 7 was performed in four live shows at Manchester’s Old Granada Studios, and featured the debut of FKA Twigs’ single Good to Love (released in February 2016). It was commissioned and produced by Manchester International Festival.

Inside Soundtrack 7 was commissioned by The Space.

FKA Twigs: Soundtrack 7 can be seen on the BBC iPlayer. It includes performances set to How’s That, Ultraviolet, and Good to Love among others, and is bound together by a striking, repeated recitation of Thomas Wyatt’s poem I Find No Peace (an excerpt from which opened twigs’s critically acclaimed LP1).
