AI technology is quickly establishing itself in every corner of videogame production, from world-building to storytelling and beyond, but is AI a powerful tool for creativity or a threat?

Commissioned by National Videogame Museum, the brilliant Dr Alan Warburton has created an animated fairytale about how ‘large world models’ fuse the real and the virtual together in potent new forms, bringing game logics to our working lives.

Based on doctoral research undertaken at Birkbeck’s Vasari Centre for Art & Technology and designed for release on LinkedIn, it was co-commissioned with the Open Data Institute and Cambridge University’s Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence.
