Digital rights – your questions answered
September 20, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Watch the webinar here:
Free webinar brought to you by The Space, in association with Arts Council England.
Due to popular demand we asked the excellent panelists from our Digital Rights webinar to join us once again. They give an overview of the fundamental principles and terminology of digital rights, then outline their individual specialisms and the work they do.
We also answer questions from the audience; from knowledge about digital rights frameworks and where to go for advice, to how rights obstacles can lead to new creative opportunities.*
Rob Lindsay, Head of Programmes for The Space, is joined by:
Lottie is a Director, Line Producer and Production Manager with over 30 years’ experience working in TV in the UK and abroad. She has produced live and pre-recorded shows, ranging from the BBC Proms with a multi-million budget to online streams of performances with a budget of no more than £5k.
Through her vast back-catalogue of work, Lottie has deep knowledge of the ways rights can prove unique challenges when producing digital versions of arts experiences, and how the solutions often come from how we respond to those challenges as artists ourselves.
Alex has been a Music Supervisor for over fifteen years and worked across TV and film projects including Skins, People Just Do Nothing, The Missing and Baptiste. He has advised The Space on projects where specific soundtracks were sought by artists and creative teams.
Alex is the leader of two modules at Point Blank Music School (Intellectual Property and Music Licensing). He also spent ten years as an A&R scout at Warp Records and Publishing.
Jamie is a Partner and Co-Head of the Interactive Group at media and technology law firm Sheridans, focusing on digital content, gaming, animation, AR/VR and digital/interactive media.
Previously at The Mill and Sony Playstation among others he has great experience and insight in areas including Contract Law, Game Development, IP/IT, Data Privacy and Software Licensing. Jamie acts for top creative industry clients across Europe and the US.
