How do artists and freelancers thrive? Navigating uncertain income
Listen to a description of the webinar
Questions of managing finances and building support and resources have always been critical to artists and creative freelancers, or creative workers, and in the current climate they can be particularly challenging.
Our panel are all established in their careers, but managing resources and income is still important for all of them. In this conversation they’ll talk about the different ways they build resilience, including: combining paid work with sustaining their creative practice, applying for funding and support, coping with drops in income, finding support and supportive networks.
We’ll also be keen to hear from our audience about their ideas and experiences around making work financially sustainable.
Speakers:
Visual artist and independent filmmaker Sima Gonsai
Playwright Laura Horton
Filmmaker, director, and founder of Directed By Good Ben Seale
