A year of creativity, innovation and resilience

“Over the last year, the creativity and resilience of the cultural sector has never failed to inspire us. Creative practitioners, artists and organisations – large and small – have embraced digital innovation, helping them thrive rather than survive in these challenging times.”

Fiona Morris

2023/24 was busy at The Space. And it’s been a privilege for us to work with a wide range of creative organisations and artists and support them to realise their digital ambitions.

From fostering creativity and innovation, to increasing access, and breaking down the barriers to inclusion, Space projects have used digital technologies to help to reach new audiences and create new ways of experiencing culture.

We’re happy to be able to present this year’s Impact Report. It includes a snapshot of our work, an overview of the collaborations and partnerships, and considers the priorities we want to focus on going forwards.

The report includes information on the ways in which we are working to:

  • Showcase the cultural sector
  • Supporting emerging artists
  • Celebrate diverse voices
  • Move the dial on digital accessibility
  • Explore and experiment with digital technology
  • Provide support in evaluating digital experiences
  • Champion a creative digital workforce
  • Drive digital culture across libraries

What we’ve done
