Look Mum, Let’s Talk About Disability

A series of short films aimed at family audiences, which respond to common misconceptions and questions around disability, raising awareness of the social model of disability, in a playful and fun way.

Created by Daryl & Co and inspired by audience feedback to their stage show ‘Look Mum, No Hands!’ the films answer common questions e.g. “why are you using a wheelchair if you can walk?” and demonstrate simple social model of disability concepts such as how wheelchairs are useful tools rather than annoying encumbrances.

The films use show choreography, humour, physical sketches and honest personal stories to answer those questions and encourage conversations. They also provide a variety of activities for home or the classroom to bring the questions to life.
